Butlins,Bognor BEATLES IN CONCERT 2010 TOUR 06/04/2010

Another trip down to Bognor, and another leg of the concert tour. We set off around early teatime and had a steady journey down making good time. When we got there we found that we were on stage a little earlier than normal so we loaded the gear in at top speed, and got straight into our stage wear. No sooner was the equipment on stage as we were sound checking and..."will you please welcome live on stage..."we were on! Curtains opened to a good sized audience and we went straight for the throat with some early rock'n'roll, response was good but we knew we could do better. Firstly we did a few big hits then started to get the audience involved with the singing, they were warming up,and so were we. Next we got them to clap along(which can help to involve some of the younger ones a little more) and again they went for it,with each step we took the crowd became more lively. It was time for Ringo(Simon)to do his sing-along version of 'Yellow submarine' that went down a storm with young and old(Got to be one of the most requested songs we do). A few more dancier tracks followed and then it was time for 'Hey jude', crowds far and wide love this song and tonight was no exception, a challenge was set between boys and girls as to who could sing the best, and the girls won hands down(well done ladies!!!). We finished our set to a great roar of applause and cheers for more, another job well done. Thanks to all involved, great crowd, very enjoyable show all round!!!

Hard Days Night Hotel,Liverpool 02/04/2010

No rest for the wicked!!! Back at the HDN hotel for another corporate event. This particular event was a Birthday celebration for the Gentleman who was involved in the building and construction of 'Liverpool one' which is a fantastically designed complex of parks, restaurants and shops right opposite the Albert dock in central Liverpool. To celebrate this night, the suite in the hotel was decorated from top to bottom with peace and love banners, a four poster flashing dance floor in the centre of the room, a double bed featuring dwarf sized John Lennon and Yoko Ono characters, and a mock 'Abbey road' zebra crossing in the hallway just outside, also all of the hotel staff were dressed in fantastic 1960's clothes. It was a great atmosphere with us booked to play two short sets then a disco to finish. We kicked off and kept playing gentler material while all the meet and greets were going on, then after a short break we kicked in with more up tempo material getting them dancing along. The disco then finished off the night into the small hours by which time we were on our way home. Great to be part of a wonderful Beatle themed evening, it was FAB!!!!!!

Butlins,Skegness BEATLES IN CONCERT 2010 TOUR 31/03/2010

......And from Bognor to Skegness! Although this being the longest drive of all three camps(some 5 hours from Bognor)it is a pleasant one as we know we're on the last leg and nearing home. We got to Skegness in great time and loaded in(Skeg load in is by far the easiest). We had a lot of time to kill so we went for a walk round, had a bite to eat and relaxed as we knew we weren't on stage till around 10.30pm. Soon enough showtime was upon us and as we readied ourselves the curtains came up to a packed room,it was heaving with people, just what we needed, we blasted into some good old rock'n'roll and the audience lit up, great response followed the first two songs. Once again a lot of the little ones in the audience were joining in with the words which is amazing to think it's forty plus years since The Beatles split up and yet still their music is as popular and universally known as it ever was. We played hit after hit and the crowd soaked them up with a ravenous thirst for more, getting them involved was a walk in the park compared with the other audiences we'd faced the two days before, and once a crowd goes for it,then then band hit top gear. A crescendo of cheers and applause ensued as we left the stage following an encore,it was a terrific night for all. Thanks to the backstage crew at all three Butlins resorts for the great job they do making our life easier, well done fellas, see you all soon!!!!

Butlins,Bognor BEATLES IN CONCERT 2010 TOUR 30/03/2010

From Minehead on to Bognor Regis. The weather was terrible on the drive over it was bucketing it down we thought about opening the show with the song 'Rain'(B-side to paperback writer)but as we approached Butlins the sky cleared and out came the sunshine(phew!!!) In we went with the equipment and then backstage to rest from the 3 and a half hour drive it takes from one to the other. After the usual preliminary set up and line check,a few lemsips and paracetamols later we were back on stage suited, booted guitars at the ready and our finest moptop hair don'ts(couldn't resist!!). Curtains opened and again not a gigantic crowd but still enough to make a good night of it all. This time the audience were a lot more subdued than normal and it really took a big effort to get them going, and to make matters worse the cold that was dogging Darren was really taking it's toll and he was struggling to breathe let alone sing. We added a couple of extra songs in from Simon(Ringo)and Craig(George) which took the load off a little and helped to pad out the set but at times like these when one man is down, it makes you realise how important you are to one another as a team. Persistance prevailed and soon enough the crowd was in the swing of things joining in arms swaying and singing along to 'Hey jude'. We left centre stage to loud cheers and applause, another satisfied audience, job well done!!!!!

Butlins,Minehead BEATLES IN CONCERT 2010 TOUR 29/03/2010

Back at Minehead again for another installment of the concert tour. Arriving early we loaded in quickly, sorted out our accomodation for the evening then went backstage to prepare for the show. We weren't sure if we would be able to perform our normal quota of songs as Darren(Lennon in the band)was really ill so we were making a contingency plan just in case. We set our backline in position on stage and executed the usual line check. The curtains opened to a reasonable sized audience and we started with the normal two opening songs. The crowd clapped and cheered,i think with this and the excellent monitor engineers they have at Minehead Darren was able to produce a great show even under the circumstances. We worked hard at the audience and soon enough they were singing and clapping along to songs such as 'Can't buy me love' and 'Yellow submarine'(always a winner with the younger ones). We have noticed that some of the younger members of the audience are now singing along word for word to most of the songs, i put this down to the release of The Beatles 'rockband' game which is aimed at introducing the Beatles to newer and younger audiences and which we had the privilege to be chosen as the band to be play at the Liverpool launch. Another show came to a close and we left stage to great applause,we packed down, loaded up the van, headed for our chalet and settled down,it had been a HARD DAYS NIGHT!

Knowle golf club,Bristol 27/03/2010

First time at this venue so didn't know what to expect when we got there. We arrived to find to an easy load in,into what was quite a small but very nice venue. We were looked after very well by the staff who greeted us with coffees and teas and plenty of sandwiches(very kind thank you). We set up and sound checked then made ourselves scarce. The Gentleman in control came to see us and asked if during the interval we could leave one microphone switched on as he'd invited a local comedy duo to do a brief set in between our two sets,of course this was no trouble. We started our first set with caution as some of the clientelle were fairly senior and we didn't want to blow their heads off,we needn't have worried they were straight on the dancefloor and danced the whole set(really quite shocked as we didn't expect that!!!). We hurried back to the changing room to get changed where we stumbled upon the comedy duo(i wish i had caught their name),well...i've never seen anything quite like them, two older fellows, one dressed smartly the other looked like a bag of rubbish tied in the middle,we changed quickly and went to watch them perform. Fantastic, absolutely hilarious they went down a storm(well done chaps). Soon we were back on stage and we had a great night which was good considering Darren was beginning to feel the full brunt of the cold he'd picked up. The crowd were on top form everyone had a fab night, and we received some wonderful comments from many of the guests. Overall a very enjoyable evening for all involved, hopefully we'll get to do it again sometime!!!

Richmond Holiday Park,Skegness 26/03/2010

Here we were back at Richmond holiday park for another festival of the sixties. We've played this venue many many times over the years and it's always nice to have a return visit. We were second band on stage of a three band line up scheduled for the evening, first band being The Dreamers(of Freddie and The Dreamers)last band and headlining act The new Amen Corner. The Dreamers kicked the evening off with a mixture of classic hits of the sixties and songs that were recorded by themselves and Freddie. The audience were a little thinner on the ground than normal at this event but very appreciative all the same. Next it was our turn and we did what we do best, full throttle rock'n'roll, and as the room began to fill up a little bit more so did the dance floor,we kept them dancing right up to the very end of our set,we'd had a really good show despite being quite tired from all the previous shows, and Darren(our Lennon) starting to come down with was what to become a terrible mother of a cold! Next and final band of the evening, The New Amen corner.....Wow! great band and what a lovely set of fellas to work with, great musicians, great vocalists, great look on stage and the best Vox bass rig(and coolest bass player i might add)i've seen in ages. They really brought the evening to a terrific climax, great night for all,big thanks to the sound crew for a great job!!!!

Hard Days Night Hotel,Liverpool 24/03/2010

This day saw us playing a corporate event at the HDN hotel,it's always a pleasure to play at this venue as it's 'Beatle heaven' for any fan of the fab four. We got there in good time and loaded in. All the sound equipment was already in position as we were using hired P.A equipment for this show with 'The Caverns' very own sound engineers John and Ben Murray. After sound checking we nipped for a bite to eat then got ready to entertain. First set we did quite a few of the more gentler songs as the evening was only just getting underway to which they were received very well by the audience, then after a quick costume change and a short break we were back on stage to rock'n'roll. We threw in some well known classics and one or two not so well known songs and the crowd loved it,the dance floor was packed with people and everyone was in high spirit, what a night for all of us,how could you possibly top that, playing the best music ever,at(in my opinion and i'm sure many other Beatle fan's opinion)the best hotel ever with people dancing, singing and clapping along(it dosen't come much better than this)the atmosphere was fantastic! We didn't want the evening to end but inevitably it did and we left the stage to tumultuous applause.

We'd like to say a big thank you to all the staff at the hotel for all the hard work they do,they are only to happy to be of assistance when needed, and also a big thank you to John and Ben for a great job on the sound, check out their website at http://www.totalcontrolsound.com/.

Butlins,Bognor BEATLES IN CONCERT 2010 TOUR 23/03/2010

Here we were on our way to another leg of THE BEATLES IN CONCERT 2010 show. An uneventful journey down to Bognor saw us arrive with time to kill,we did the proverbial load in then relaxed backstage for a short while. Soon enough it was time to put on our gladrags(so to speak)and set our equipment in position on stage,we did a quick line check(to make sure everything is working as it should)then dashed back to the dressing room to make last minute adjustments to our suits and hair! With guitars in hand we got into position and waited for the announcement and the curtain to rise......"Ladies and Gentlemen, will you please welcome on stage...." The curtains came up and we were off, 'Please please me' straight into 'From me to you'. Because we've been playing quite regularly this year, the whole performance has tightened up(musician's term for, become really good!)so we were really on form and the crowd loved it from the word go. We got them singing and dancing with all the standards, imparticularly 'Hey jude',i'm sure the roof was going to come off at one point. All too soon it was the end and we came off stage feeling very satisfied we'd had a good show. We loaded our equipment out,and made the long and tiring journey home! Many thanks once again to the crew who are really the 'unsung heroes' of these events, Thanks fellas.....till next time!!!!!

Butlins,Bognor BEATLES IN CONCERT 2010 TOUR 09/03/2010

Back(in the USSR!!! couldn't resist!!)once again at Butlins Bognor regis for another installment of the Beatles in concert tour. We didn't have to set off till quite late in the day as we found out we weren't on stage till a little bit later in the evening so we left around early teatime,we made good time and got there well in advance. We loaded in then headed off for some food(as you do!)With our stomach's rather full and rearing to go we set our equipment up on stage and performed the routine line check(very quiet sound check to make sure everything is working). There were a few technical problems with monitors and stuff but the stage crew sprang into action and quickly remedied the faults. After going back to the dressing to make ourselves look pretty it was showtime and up came the curtains, not a massive crowd this time,a little bit thin on the ground but it wasn't long before we and indeed the audience were in full swing. To say there wasn't too many people there it was a good atmosphere and everyone joined in with the merriment of singing and clapping etc. It was all over in a flash and soon we were loading up the van and heading off home once again. Thanks to the crew for working very hard,Great night!!!!

Butlins,Skegness(festival of the sixties) 07/03/2010

An afternoon performance at Butlins after a late night getting home from Burnham(not good!)we were a little road weary to say the least. Skegness has a great load in facility so we used this to our advantage and took all our own backline into the venue so as to set the scene so to speak. We were the first band on in centre stage of the afternoon performances and were on a wing and a prayer hoping our voices would kick in and deliver. Steve one of the sound engineers, and a vital member of the crew at centre stage had done a wonderful VT intro for us to come onto using old film footage of The Beatles themselves and the legions of fans going nuts etc,it was great, and as Ed Sullivan introduced us the curtains came up and....we needn't have worried it was pure adrenalin,we were on fire, the voices kicked in and we rocked!!!! What a response, absolute knock out,the audience were fantastic and very loud, i've got to say of all the times we've performed at Butlins over the years, this has got to be one of, if not the best crowd reaction we've ever recieved!!! The room was jumping when it came to 'Hey Jude' and the singing was deafening,a great feeling of acheivement came over us as with cries of "more more" we sang 'Twist and shout' as the encore and the guests were ecstatic. We'd like to thank everyone for the wonderful reception we got,and thanks to all the sound and lighting crew for doing a fantastic job as usual, nice intro Steve, thanks a million!!!

Burnham holiday village,Burnham on sea 06/03/2010

A very uneventful journey saw us arrive for the first time at this venue,on arrival we seeked directions to the showbar from reception. The load in was not a pleasant one(steps, steps and more steps!!!!).We'd been made aware that this was a caravan owners event and that we were on this night with another band who had just beaten us to the load in,they were on stage setting up as we brought our belongings in. It really was in my opinion a bad idea to have two live bands on the same stage as it was very cramped and leads were everywhere(who ordered spaghetti?) Anyway after some deliberating and shuffling around we managed to fit both of us on.The other band in question 'The merseybeat legends' were on first, and they did a great job reproducing some of the early beat classics from the sixties, top job lads!!! As soon as they'd finished they emptied as much off stage as poss and then we were on. It wasn't our usual type venue but we got a good response all the same, with a few getting up to dance(always difficult when you have small children with you)and getting them all to clap and sing a long(hey jude never fails!!!!)It was just one short set so as fast as we went on,we had finished and the dreaded steps were looming again(Noooooooo!!!!!).We soon had our stuff back in the van and we were on our way.Pleasure to work with The merseybeat legends, very enjoyable show all round!!!!!!!

The Cavern,Liverpool 04/03/2010

Back at the Cavern once again on this Thursday evening,we arrived quite early and loaded in down the famous spiral staircase. It's always a late night here(the first of three sets starts at 10pm) so we had loads of time to kill, but we were on a mission,we'd been contacted by Mr Ian whitewick requesting we do the song 'in my life' which is one we don't do very often as it has a rather difficult musical solo in the middle. But this night we had to do it as the request was to be used as a means for Ian to propose to his girlfriend(aaaaaaaahhhh!) so we used our spare time to brush up on the song. We struck up with the first set to an ecstatic crowd, keeping it generally early rock n roll. Then came the second set,and fourth song in we asked Ian to come up on stage, 'in my life' was played and......he went down on one knee and popped the question........she said YES!!!! there was big cheers from the crowd and lots of tears from the lovely couple, bless em! We finished the second set with some middle period music then rocked the place to the wee hours with the third,a great crowd the place was jumping, fab atmosphere. Would like to thank John once again for doing a great job mixing the sound, stunning job,and thank you once again to Ronnie for the great warm up set before us,nice one mate.

Best wishes go out to Ian and his brand new fiance!!!!!!!

Club Amadeus,North Yorkshire 27/01/2010

First time at this venue and with it being a night club type venue we didnt have to arrive early!
We didnt quite know what was in store for us here,as we've done night club venues in the past and they either work or don't.The load in was a bit of a pain as we were on the second floor(yep!stairs, lifts etc,ho hum!)We set up using the 'in-house' pa system which incidently was fantastic and awaited showtime. We had quite a bit of free time on our hands so once again we put it to good use by rehearsing potential new material in the dressing room. It was showtime,we entered stage right and were quite surprised, most of the clientele were the middle to more senior end which came as a shock as we really expected young revellers.
We kicked off and straight away the audience responded which was great, the dance floor was busy they were singing and clapping etc and it turned out to be a real storming night, everyone enjoying themselves us included,i might add we got some very nice comments once again from many of the guests, this always makes you feel as you've done a good job. We loaded out down the 'stairs fom hell' and we were on our way home. All in all a very satisfying and enjoyable evening, hopefully we can do it all again very soon!!!!!

Ibstock W.M.C 20/02/2010

First time at this venue, and it's not very often we get to play in a working mens club.We arrived prompt and the load in was very easy,up a ramp through the door and on to stage(that was nice!!!)It was much bigger inside than it looked from the roadside and we had a fair sized stage to work on.We did the usual set up and sound check then waited for the room to fill up and the first performance time slot to come around. This was a ticket event and i must say they did really well with the sales as the room was packed and considering it's size,it took some filling! We kicked off the first set and straight away we had dancers on the floor Rockin n Rollin, these were lovely people and after the first few songs we knew we were going to have a good night. We finished the first set with a busy dance floor, and the DJ for the evening took over keeping everyone in the mood.Soon it was time for us to return to the stage,we really worked them this set and they responded magnificently and didnt want us to leave the stage when we announced our last song,i'm sure time permitting they'd have let us play all night. After thunderous applause we left the stage, changed(into our civvies Ha!)and began to pack down where we got some lovely comments from people who had thoroughly enjoyed the show!
We'd like to say thanks to all involved, and especially to our good friend Geoff who did a sterling job helping us on the night, see you soon Thanks a million !!!!!

The Cavern,Liverpool 18/01/2010

Great to be back at the Cavern for the regular tribute night held every Thursday. As normal resident guitar/vocalist Ronnie was on stage as we arrived, fantastic musician, great singer, check him out if you're ever in Liverpool on a Thursday evening, well worth a look! He was playing to a packed audience and they were up for it,singing and going nuts! We were pleased to find that John(in our opinion the best sound engineer at the Cavern)was mixing for us,not only a great sound man but a lovely fella to work with, always makes it easy for us to perform well on stage.

We kicked off with some early rockers and the crowd loved it,they were up dancing in the isles etc it was great, very very busy for a week night! There was a lot of people in from foreign soil which we dedicated a few songs to and they were really into the whole Liverpool/Beatles thing, great to see they're faces light up when we mentioned them, people from as far as Canada!

When challenged to sing along, they were loud man!!! it was a phenominal atmosphere and the place was still heaving right up to our last song. After screams of more, more we concluded with 'twist and shout',well you can imagine......absolutely electrifying, what a great night! Thanks to all staff and John for doing a brill job on the desk as usual! Always a pleasure to play here,at the heart of Rock n Roll !!!!!

Butlins,Skegness BEATLES IN CONCERT 2010 TOUR 17/01/2010

The third and final instalment of the first leg of our tour! The full schedule isn't set to kick off until mid April, then it's every week from then on till the end of November. So here we were at Skegness,it was quite a drive up from Bognor about 5 hours worth(not nice!!!)to be precise but we whiled the time away deconstructing some Beatles music we were listening to on CD. We arrived feeling some what tired but a few cups of tea later we were rearing to go! There's been a hell of a lot of changes to the venue since we were last there, and the enormous balcony with it's own private bar is just one of them. The crew there had managed to dig up some old VT footage of the Beatles and their adoring fans on film,so as we hit the stage, they interspersed camera shots of us and the film footage together,i must admit you couldn't tell which was us and which was the real thing, brilliant!!! very clever. The audience were fantastic, really up for a great night and that's exactly what we had,it was Fab!!!! Thanks once again to all the crew who worked ridiculously hard to make the night run as it did,and we're really looking forward to the official start date of the tour!!!!!!

Butlin,Bognor regis BEATLES IN CONCERT 2010 TOUR 16/01/2010

The second show of the tour, this time at Bognor regis. A steady drive with pleasant weather on our side(nice to see a bit of sun!)We arrived, loaded in(up the stairs of doom!!!)and then retired to our accommodation to recover(Gasp!!!!). After relaxing for a while and freshening up we headed back to the venue.Once again this show was being used as a marker for ideas for both us and the show creators. We got into position on stage and the curtains opened to a well populated room. After running a few ideas the night before,we were more confident as to what the crowd would want to hear and we had a much much better show, with plenty of dancing and singing all round, even a famous 'Ringo' song for the younger end to singalong to.....all together....." In the town where i was born......" After the show we got to meet one or two lovely people who said they'd really enjoyed themselves which was nice to hear. Great show, and once again the crew and everyone involved were fantastic, thanks! Also thank you very much for the great pictures sent in to us from a very kind Lady, very nice x.

Butlins,Minehead BEATLES IN CONCERT 2010 TOUR 15/01/2010

Monday saw the start of our 'Beatles in concert 2010' tour kicking off in Minehead. After an uneventful trip down we arrived in good time, organised our accommodation(we were staying over)and loaded our equipment in. We had a lot of time on our hands so we spent the most of it in the dressing room learning potentially new material for the show. After the evenings other events had finished we got the call to set up on stage. We changed into costume and took our positions, the curtains opened and we began! The first few shows of this tour were being used as markers for the stage set designers and show producers etc to visualise ideas to create a modern day look and feel to a Beatle concert around us,it was also a chance for us to try out material that we thought might work for future shows. We had a performed well, the audience were very warm and the show creators were in abundance with ideas! Thanks to the crew and everyone who worked hard to look after us while we were there, did a great job!!!!!

Butlins,Minehead 31/01/2010

So its the Sixties all over again at Butlins minehead,we really enjoy being a part of these festivals which are held at various times throughout the year! This weekend from what we could gather, had been very good with a great line up of top acts gracing the many stages within the Butlins complex. We heard some sad news that one of our friends from another band had had a bereavement in the family which meant they had to cancel at very short notice, but after a quick reshuffle everything was back on track. We were due to perform as the last act(headlining so to speak)on at centre stage, but with it being such a late performance time,12.00 midnight, and the fact it was a Sunday night(everyone leaving early due to work commitments Monday morning)we didnt hold much hope of having a large audience. We line checked and got into position............"Ladies and Gentleman...." The curtains opened and....it was packed, with everyone right up to the front of the stage jostling for a better view.We struck up and it was party time, everyone singing and dancing, waving their arms clapping, the atmosphere was nothing short of spectacular, for that window of one hour we could have been the real Beatles!!!!!! All too soon it was over and we left the stage to a crescendo of applause and cheers, what a great night! We really enjoyed ourselves, and cant wait for the next one.

Our deepest sympathies go out to DOZY,BEAKY,MICK AND TITCH.

Nidd Hall,Harogate 08/01/2010

Ten inches of snow on the ground, abandoned vehicles, homes without gas and electricity, what a night to have to set off on a journey which under normal circumstances would take an hour and a half. We set off very early leaving plenty of time to allow for mishaps, but once we were on our way the roads began to clear a little and we had no incidents occur(thank God). At the venue there was lots of snow and slush on the ground which made loading in and out fun to say the least! We set up,sound checked and awaited our performance time. Literally ten minutes before we were due on stage, there were only around 20 people in the room(paid practise Ha!)we had to delay our time slot by fifteen minutes by which time it slowly began to fill up,so as you can imagine the audience were a bit thin on the ground, but this didnt seem to matter as the ones that had decided to brave the terrible conditions were up for a good time. They joined in with the singing and clapping along and stuff and we were very well received, there was no shortage of people coming up to us and saying what a great show it was and how much they enjoyed it,thank you it does mean a lot! We finished up,loaded out and made our way back home, once again luckily with no incidents to report.Great night considering the weather issues, thanks to all the staff,we always seem to have a good night at this venue!!!!

St.Georges Hill Tennis club,Surrey 31/12/2009

New years eve was here, and no better time for the local district council to dig up just about every road in Weybridge! Finding the venue was impossible every which way the Sat-nav took us was closed due to road works. We'd actually been in the area for 45 mins and still couldn't get to it! Anyway after several phone calls to the venue, many diversions and a few choice words we arrived much to the event organisers and our own relief. Fantastic venue, the grounds were immaculately kept and very scenic even on a cold freezing wintery night. We loaded in to what was rather a small venue and began to set up. After sound checking we made ourselves scarce while the guests had their meal etc. We were booked to perform twice on this night, and as with most events of this nature they usually run over the allotted time, this night was no exception, things were running around fifteen minutes late(which from experience was pretty good to be fair). We struck up and....oh my God,the dance floor was packed straight away, cant say i've ever seen a dancefloor fill up from nothing to solid in about 10 seconds....ever! They danced the entire set, with not a glimmer of sitting down, the joint was jumping! Due to the fact that the evening was running a little late,we barely had time to run off stage, have a quick drink and change costume before we were due back on and as soon as we kicked off again, the same thing happened, dancefloor was solid from start to finish,we had a great night. We finished our set at 5 minutes to twelve so the DJ could count in the new year......."Should old aquaintants be forgot....." And so it was.....the end of another year and the start of a new one(i'm sure they get quicker) We(the band) all shook hands and congratulated one another on a great show and indeed a great year. We'd like to say thanks to everyone for making it a fab night, and hopefully we can do it all again sometime.....see you in 2010......HAPPY NEW YEAR to one and all!!!!

Bodelwyddan castle,Wales 30/12/2009

Here we were at this truly stunning venue the night before new years eve,and it was a cold one! The journey was none to pleasant as we got stuck in loads of queuing traffic, that said,we still made the venue in good time.
We loaded in set up and sound checked without any issues, and were led to the restaurant to collect our 'Turkey and Tinsel' meal which we were so kindly provided with. After our hearty meal we sat back to watch the first installment of the 'in-house' band 'Gemini', lovely bunch, great musician's and the audience warmed to them very quickly. Soon enough we were donning our glad rags and hopping on to stage,as with most Warner venues the clientele are of the slightly more senior end so we decided to start the show gently. Due to the age group not too many people got up to dance, but they were watching our every move intently and were very appreciative of our every song. Although the dance floor wasn't as packed as we'd hoped, they certainly made up for it with the sing-alongs and were in top voice, they were in fact the best audience we'd had all night (Ha!!) Anyway we finished off with a couple of steadier songs and the lovers(so to speak) were up in a flash. After a quick encore it was all over and back to Gemini to finish the evening.Great night for all involved, hope to do it all again in 2010!!!!
