Ten inches of snow on the ground, abandoned vehicles, homes without gas and electricity, what a night to have to set off on a journey which under normal circumstances would take an hour and a half. We set off very early leaving plenty of time to allow for mishaps, but once we were on our way the roads began to clear a little and we had no incidents occur(thank God). At the venue there was lots of snow and slush on the ground which made loading in and out fun to say the least! We set up,sound checked and awaited our performance time. Literally ten minutes before we were due on stage, there were only around 20 people in the room(paid practise Ha!)we had to delay our time slot by fifteen minutes by which time it slowly began to fill up,so as you can imagine the audience were a bit thin on the ground, but this didnt seem to matter as the ones that had decided to brave the terrible conditions were up for a good time. They joined in with the singing and clapping along and stuff and we were very well received, there was no shortage of people coming up to us and saying what a great show it was and how much they enjoyed it,thank you it does mean a lot! We finished up,loaded out and made our way back home, once again luckily with no incidents to report.Great night considering the weather issues, thanks to all the staff,we always seem to have a good night at this venue!!!!
